I just came back from an amazing trip to the salt flats. There are no words to describe the flats. Pictures donīt do justice, itīs sooo trippy. We walked through pure whiteness, it was a sea of white salt and you had to wear your sunglasses otherwise you couldnīt see a thing the sun was so powerful. Off we went in these crazy jeeps, speeding across the salt. The first day we took crazy pictures and hiked up a desert island that just kind of popped up in the middle of the flats. Then we drove to this hostel that looked like an orphanage from the movies were we drank bottles of wine and watched the sunset. Then it was up at 4am for an amazing sunrise over the flats. Incredible. Then we hiked up a volcano which was a bit of a pain but at the top had some incredible views. Then I saw llamas and flamingos. thatīs right, flamingos. The back to Uyuni to eat at minuteman pizza which has horrible pizza that made everyone sick, but awesome chocoate chip cookies...
