The NEY!

The ney is the emblematic flute of the Turko-Arab-Persian world. The word is Farsi for reed. The name "ney" is used by Turks and Persians; many Arabs pronounce the word as Nai; thus we can distinguish between the Turkish, Arab and Persian forms of the instruments.It is not music for pleasure but for cleaning the mirror of the heart.This music is a vibration. It's a physical event. It contains the texture of cosmic existence. This is a kind of vibration that awakens humans from sleep. The sleepy essences begin to disappear.
