Last weekend I went to Granada with one of my friends, Kurt. We bussed down early one morning anf left the next afternoon, so once again...it was a quick trip.
All of the hostels were booked up, so we ended up staying in a hotel...which I loved!! So that was fun to have a nice bed and a nice bathroom and good shower...etc.
We walked around the streets, which were surpirisingly pretty quiet. It seemed a bit like Madrid to me...and a lot of the street names were the same as in Madrid. We walked to La Alhambra and went through the fortress for a good 4 hours. It was really cool...there were palaces and gardens and in all it was just really cool to walk around the entire property. People lived there for 200 years.
After La Alhambra, we went grocery shopping for happy hour items (so that we could save money by not eating out because we splurged on the hotel...) and we got cheese, crackers, and apples, and wine. A fairly classy hotel room happy hour. Before we started out happy hour, we had walked the city a bit more just looking at everything and getting a fell for the city.
After happy hour, we went to a few wine bars and did some people watching. Because we had such nice, comfy beds...we called it a night around midnight and had a good nights sleep.
Before we left the next morning, we ventured to a cafe and had some cafe con leche and did a little homework. And then we were off!
