Int mountains

Just spent our first week up in the Himalayas. The first couple of nights in Shimla were pretty disapointing, I think we were the only western tourists in town, so it was pretty quiet. The hotel we stayed at (YMCA) was dead, could have quite easliy been the setting for the Shining (redrum redrum).

Our 5 nights in Manail were much more enjoyable though. Spent a couple of days skiing in the Solang Valley which was amazing, 5000m peaks rising all around you, lovely setting. It only cost us 250 Rupees for the whole day too!!!! just over 3 quid.

Back in Dehli today, then onto Varanasi tomorrow and Nepal later on in the week.
