I´ve been attracted to Asian cultures since I was a kid. So I always wanted to know how life would be in Asia. I asked to my relatives or friends but nobody had the answers, nobody had been there, I could only have for an answer something they watched on TV or heard somewhere.
So the time finally came, after one vacation week in Philippines I had a flight from Manila to Beijing with one stop at Xiamen, China to change planes. I was excited as the plane approached land. Xiamen is a city in the East coast so I could see both land and sea. From the right side of the plane I saw a lot of buildings and factories and a lot of trees, it was really green, of course I took some video at that time. But to sum up it was beautiful. Then getting off the plane and the flight will change from an international flight to a domestic flight. After passing passport control, we had to wait about 40 minutes to the flight from Xiamen to Beijing. It turns out that Xiamen had a brand new airport that opened like two months ago or so, and I was really surprised because it was really modern, smelled like new, and both floors and walls were spotless, everything in color gray and a lot of glasses. And then this became my first impression of China. A really modern and beautiful country. After going to Beijing I reassured this impression, Beijing is really modern and beautiful.
