40 mins ago, Claire and Emma got on the bus to Quito, the former to teach English there until the end of Jan and the latter to fly to Buenos Aires on Tues and travel through that country and Uruguay too before jetting off to Aus. Quite sad to have them leave, as will miss them very much, Claire especially as she was staying in the same house as me for 2 and a half months, but I have other friends here, both locals and foreigners, so its all good. Just literally after leaving the station, I saw Joe in a cafe so went to join him for a while so that just shows that I wont be all on me tod. Found out that two volunteers, Helen and Jenny, are comin on 11th Dec. Not sure how long theyre stayin for, but thats good to know.

Last night was their last and everyone turned up, absolutely everyone, save Alex- who couldnt escape because his boss had turned up in Shangrila- Richard- whos travelling with Magdalene at the mo- and German- not sure what happened to him. So we had Fredy, Franky, Pato, Ramiro, Joe, Rebecca, Clemencia, David, Rasmus, Lisbed... even the internet boys, Javier and Gabriel showed up, bless! Everyone kept going in the same whiney voice, "¡No te vayas!" (dont go). Was a good night, wouldve been better if Alex hadve been there, but good nonetheless. Ended up talkin to this USAn for a while and somehow got onto the subject of Mormons and how bizarre they are... I love the ppl I meet in this town! Fredy was all over me again but has been warned by my Irish mother- Claire- that hes to behave himself whilst shes away. Not that he will of course, but to be honest, I probs wont go out much w/o Alex now the girlies have gone and he always leaves me alone when Alex is there. Its all a joke tho, it does make me laugh. At one point, he goes, "You know, everything Im saying is just a joke, dont you?" And I was like, "Yes Fredy, I dont really think youre in love with me!" Poor Franky was really down last night. So he, Fredy and Pato went off to Araña for a while whilst we were in Yage, so we went over to see them, because they are our closest friends here and we wanted to spend more of the evening with them. So yeah, it was a good night out.

Have an Alba lesson this afternoon, which I thought would be a good idea since shes always so lovely and friendly and I have nothing else to do since the girls have gone. Then its back to teaching tomorrow.

Not too sad all in all about the girls going, will probs hit me later to be honest. But will see Claire definitely in 2 weeks when have to go to Quito to renew visa and shes even thinking of visiting next weekend as one of the girls in the house shes stayin in is coming down. Wish Em would come back too at some point...
