So i set off for Pisa to check out the leaning tower with two fellow English Girls who had spent a week living (drinking) in Astor, The town itself is quite small, very beautiful, like most towns it has a massive river running through it! Had pizza right next to the tower, the cheaky beggers tried to charge 20% service charge when the menu said 15% i wasn't have none of that... once a student always a student!
On that note my tightness continued... they charge 15 euros to go up the leaning tower... do they think i was born yesterday, 1 it's a rip off at about 12 squid to walk up 500 steps and secondly it's obviously not safe with a lean like that! Didn't stop the americans in their droves!!
The grounds where the Tower, Cathedral and church are beautiful they are very well kept, you are not able to sit on the cathedral grounds but that didn't stop anyone... it was hilarious to see a police officer running around telling everyone to get off... it was like a Benny Hill sketch!
The markets were suprisingly full of Tower memorabilla, replicas ranging from 3cm tall to life size... only joking some filled with chocolate, some with wine some with Grappa... with whatever you wanted really!!
There is not a great deal else to see, i still need to go inside the cathedral which is supposed to be amazing but couldn't be bothered as feeling ill!
While on the subject, i'll report on my week of pain!
Wisdonm teeth coming through are never a good thing but when you are abroad they are a royal pain in the backside... 7 days of pain... not being able to eat anything, feck me i was in pain... thank god all is better now, not 100% but gettign there i have dentist appointment today for confirmation of problem, god it's gonna sting my bank balance! Report to follow!
