Crossing Bridges

2006-10-27, Isla Colon, Panama

I´m on Isla Colon in Bocas del Torro, and it´s awesome! A few girls from the hostel and I caught the 6:30 bus from Puerto Viejo. Speaking of Puerto Viejo, stayed at rocking j´s and had the most bizzare time. I met all of these crazy people and just hung out in a hammock all day because, surprise surprise, it was raining. For dinner I went to town with a couple of crazy folks and then we went to a bar and listened to a rasta dude sing. Early to bed...Early to rise. So we cross the border and have to walk across this really loooong ghetto bridge. And i mean ghetto. in the begining we had a little walkway and then it just kind of ended so we had to walk on these old planks with gaps in them across the remainder of the bridge. It was insane, not for people afraid of heights. Then we headed by taxi to Finca, to catch a water taxi, waited forever to leave, and then it was an hour boat ride through this crazy jungle river...and now i´m here! I´m staying in this cool room with the Brittish girls, I think I´ll sleep in a hammock tonight!
