prauge wed 4 oct
we slept in on wednesday but managed to make it down just in time for the last of the all you can eat breakfast. it was kies only day to look around cause he had to leave for vienna on thursday morning so the 2 of us went exploring through pragues tourist sites, we went up to the castle, walked over the tourist swamped charles bridge & checked out all the little market stalls along the way. ive noticed that the art of the city that is sold off the street is really different to the other european countries we've been too, its a lot more colourful and theres just something about it that stands out from everywhere else. Kie got a photo of charles bridge covered in snow and i got a cheap little bracelet to add to the collection.
we went to the train station to meet kate who was staying in prague for 2 nights and booked her in at the hostel. kie and kate had dinner with one of kies friends and i met up with the hasey mick and brett (the aubrey guys from the train) we got some dinner and beers at the hostel bar, then headed round to hostel elf to meet up with scotty, an adelaidean the boys had met at oktobefest - made oursleves comfortable at elf with cheap beers for a couple of ours and eventually a group of about 10 of us headed to the charles bridge nightclub.
we made friends with sergio our new favourite bartender (I KNOW SERGIO!!!) drank far too much absinth adn vodka red bulls DOMINATED the dancefloor and the boys taught me how to "tear the place apart" aubrey, wadonga style ;) cheers boys haha
i went home with kie and brett at about 5 when we couldnt find mick or hasey anywhere, our cab driver suddenly pulled over, jumped out and started yelling at us in czech cause bretty had his head out the window and the cabby thought hed spewed (wrong) he was yelling saying we had to pay him 2000crown (about 55euro) wetold him no way in hell he didnt even do anything and he dropped his price to 300, to hell with that we say again, caby yells into his phone polizia polizia (he forgot to dial first) bretty gives him 200 for the fare and we walk the extra block back to the hostel - in the meantime hasey and mick are msging us trynba figure out where we went, they kick on at the club a bit longer, then take the wrong tram home and get in around 7am

kie wakes me up sometime much too early in the morning to leave for vienna, kate goes sightseeing and i go back to sleep till about 1 feeking very worse for wear and swearing myself off any more absinth in czech cuase my throat is still burning from it like 8 hours later, went on the hunt for food with mick and hasey and quiet possibly found the best food in prague at a little restraunt called pepino, we got huge delicious czech style meal each and tried to sober up on orange juice (that still tasted like vodka) and coffees adn spent only 200crown each (about 6 euro - i love this city!!) headed back to the hostel for a sleep and we all went back to pepinos that night so brett could go there as well.
fri 6 october
met up with the boys again in the morning and we went out to see a few more sights around prague, we'd spotted vintage cars (like brum) driving around doing tours in the city, it cost about 250 crown for the 4 of us for 45 mins so the boys squished in the back and i sat up front with krazy karl the kar driver and off we went. through the jewish quarter, past the spanish church, up to the castle, past the primeinisters house and the hugeministry of defence building, down towards charles bridge, past a few of the buildings of charles university and around a couple of other blocks close to old town square. we had a couple of hours and a couple thousand crown to kill so went and blew it all at one of the many home owned style casinos and then once alll our riches were gone and commemorative chips were attained we met up with scotty at the trainstation and all caught a 6.40pm DIRECT train to Vienna, not as many hassles as last time but the train had to take out one of its carriages so was running 50 minutes late - at least we didnt have any changes though!!
