On our way to BIAP we were stuck in Camp Doha, Kuwait, waiting for a C-130 rotator. We stayed in a large warehouse with hundreds of other troops, sleeping on cots lined up with about a foot between them. All day and night the lights were on. Between that and the knowledge that you would soon be in a war zone, sleep was little. It was hotter than hell, and most of the day was spent playing dominoes, spades and monopoly. There was a nice food court in the PX and we ate as much crap as possible.
