Some friends and I heard of a small trail marked by a huge arrow painted on the road in Yigo. We searched all over for it and finally our persistance prevailed. We hiked a couple miles through the jungle and searched for the Marlboro caves which supposedly had fresh water pools inside. After some time we found an entrance, left our belongings behind and waded in the water with flashlights, ducking and sliding through narrow caves. It was obvious we weren't the first ones to have visited this place as we lit well placed candles along our way. The tunnel suddenly turned into a huge cavern and the light from our flashlights danced as it reflected off the clear pool of water in front of us. The water was refreshing and smelled of spring morning, all of it rain filtered through the ground. We lit more candles, revealing an auditorium like setting, and yelled profanity to hear the enchanting echoes. We swam for a good time, taking advantage of the refuge from the sun and humidity of the Pacific.
