Hi kids just a quck update on whats been happening the last few days. sorry i aint been online to do the updates but ive been busy. lets start at friday past. woke up early for my last day in vernon we got showered and changed and we hit the road at about 10am traveling through the okanagan valley taking in all the beautiful scenary including the fraser valley. we stopped of at hope for the kids to take a breather and we were on the road again, i was dropped of a t chilliwak were i was met by liz and it was on to her home in richmond to get sorted out. we went onto the pne for our concert. John Mayer and cheryl crow were both amaxingly good so go out and get some of there tunes. after the gig we went for a drink at the river rock casino and watched some more live music. got back had a few drinks and it was time for a kip.
Saturday began late after our night before but i awoke to a typical canadian summers day, the views as we travelled around was breath taking. we went onto queen elizabeth botanical gardens where people were getting married and having there photos taken (dont worry kids it wasnt me!!!) took some great shots of the views and then it was onto the world renowned stanley park, from stanley we could see the whole of vancouver downtown and the huge deep water harbours it has, once again pictures to follow. the sun was still burning down and the day went on you can even see mount baker in the us from vancouver and also of course the rockies. after stanley we headed back for a quick change and it was back out on the drink hahaha. Sunday 24th sept started again later than usual well about 12 and we headed of to white rock just down the road from tawassen to enjoy the beach front (cafes and shops) and also had a bite to eat, try fish and chips canadian style (sorry but it does beat englisg fish and chips) halibut and fries so tasty was unreal. we continued our walk along the shoreline towards crescent beach more amazing views of vancouver, rockies etc from a further distance. back to base for a quick change it it was out for sushi (darrin your rite it is lush) ps you may have to get that cheques book out (if you know what i mean). after sushi it was a small amount of physical activty as we played a few games of ten pin bowling (ov course i didnt do tooo bad)river rock casino and home a few drinks then kip time.
Monday 25th sept, today we took a quick visit to steveston (fishing village) just on the tip of vancouver yet again amazing place so after a lazy lunch we headed back to base for the night to come. tonight i went to liz's parents home for some good home made cooking salmon of many sorts including cold smoked also taking in some cold smoked halibut tasted beautiful. anyways after the great night of good conversation and great food it was time to head of for her brothers. not just liz and her family but all canadians seem to be very sincere and honest people and to me you cant get better than that. home fews drinks then kip.
Tuesday 26th sept, today is my last day with liz in vancouver for now so we headed of downtown for her citizenship ceremony it wa nice to be there to see hiow it will go for me in a few years time (fingers crossed) and after that we said our goodbyes for now and she dropped me of at the ferry (horseshoe bay) for my trip across to the island. Audz picked me up at nanaimo and it was back up highway 1 to home (courtenay). we got back bout 830pm saw the kids had a few beers woth audz and rob then hit the hay.
Wednesday 27th sept helped rob alla day preparing the back for the concrete to be delived, we got most of it done. I was knackered so i had a few beers then hit the hay.
tursday 28th sept continued with rob and went down to get my leicences for some seroius salmon fishing.
