Spent a night in Hamburg to break up the long train trip from Amsterdam to Berlin. Quite a cool city and found an awesome bar across the road from our hostel which was basically an urban beach where Lizzie and I spent a lazy Sunday afternoon having a few beers in the beautiful weather on the sand.
The hostels we stay in keep going from strength to strength...this one was another ripper, a funky little place called Instant Sleep.
Had time to check out a few bits of the town the next day, went "window shopping" at the infamous Reeperbahn red light district (I think I am all prostituted out after this and Amsterdam). Interestingly, men under 18 and women are not allowed in the window shopping street. Lizzie got screamed at from one of the windows by an obese, dirty skanky prostitute for poking her head over the fence for a peek...haha!
