Long drive and exam stress

2006-09-16, Cambridge, United Kingdom

So the 16th of September was a scheduled day for me, Sis and Girlfriend to take our IELTS test. The only technical problem was that we had to go to Cambridge - something like 180 miles away and report there at 9am. Is it worth mentioning that my dear girls were working the day (night?) before?

Anyway, we were brave, we got up at 4am, we put nice outfit to the boot and off we went. Driving wasn't that bad even though they are working all the time on the M4 and we made it safe. (Just a few micro-sleeps)

Exam itself was actually lots of fun, as we ended up with some crap topic to write about (and each of us wrote about something different) and I got very tired reading about Alaskan salmons and traffic jams. No it's just waiting for results.

So having some time left before it got dark we went to have a look on Cambridge. So, so many bikes. Almost like in Netherlands. And people of all nations and backgrounds. In one word: lovely. We were dead tired but that was enjoyable. We even gave a try to some Portuguese cousin.

What can I say, if I could study there - I would, I would.
