back on home soil!

We landed this day in the first familiar place for almost eight months! The Chicago customs man said, 'Welcome home' and I was actually quite grateful to hear it. We then flew to Syracuse, NY (upstate) to visit my Grandpa for a few weeks, rest and adjust back to this country in big and small things (for one, we kept trying to convert American money to American money).

So our NY/New England time will be filled with walks along Lake Ontario, visiting relatives in NY & Massachusetts, visiting a few grad schools for Doug, and visiting our friend in Buffalo.

Good to be back.
