There was a bit of a delay, but 10 hours later...I have arrived.
I met a girl on the plane (sitting next to me) from India. She was going to Manchester to start college. Before the flight she had never traveled alone. She also had never seen her campus or even been to England. She already knows she is going to triple major in Economics, International Business, and Finance. I couldn't even imagine any of that, but props to her.
My flight was an hour late to Manchester, but the flight was great. It was only about 35 minutes. It's funny that in the US, your flight has to be 5 hours before you even get peanuts. But in the UK, the flight attendants practically run down the aisle to give you a full meal on a 30 minute flight! It's just very different.
In London Heathrow, a woman came and sat down next to me and tried to ask me where she needed to go, at which gate she and her husband needed to wait. After about 5 minutes, it wasn't going anywhere, she didn't understand Enlish. Ironically though, I overheard her speaking to her husband...in Spanish. So I then started talking to her in Spanish and I explained that she had to wait until it was closer to the time of the flight to see which gate it was, blah, blah, blah...but it was cool that I could actually help her!
Okay, more later...Anne and I are watching Grey's Anatomy (a few episodes behind the States...)!
