Made it to Copenhagen

Well, I left DC airport yesterday evening about 6 pm and flew through the night to a landing at 7:25 AM Scandinavian time. There was a man on the plane who's daughter had a baby boy right before we took off. He had been calling in and found out just before we lifted off the ground. He was really cute about it. He was Jewish so had to be back in 6 days for the bris that they were hosting.

Had an uneventful flight and got through my passport check and customs with nothing at all. I mean they looked at my passport but didn't even look at my baggage.

It's kind of grey and cool here today but at least it isn't raining which is what has been happening here in Copenhagen. Since it was too early to check in at the hotel, I took a cab, dropped off my luggage and then decided to walk around the city with my map while I waited for my room to be ready--so I could collapse! I have no idea what the room will be like but the hotel is charming--a great location and a nice breakfast of which I partook.

I walked down an interesting street full of all kinds of stores--no cars allowed on the street, either, which is soo nice.

So far the Danes seem to be an extremely nice people, very friendly, but down to earth. Even the luggage carts at the airport were a very beautiful style--I guess that's where the phrase Danish Modern comes from, huh?

Well, when I started this, I thought I would have a lot to say, but now I'm kind of burned out--love to all and I will write more tomorrow!
