Up at nine to check out... another restless night for a lot of folk in the hostel as the bed bugs had been out in force, lucky for me they stayed away, must be the amount of booze i've consumed!
My thoughts were also confirmed this morning when someones backpack had been stolen, some cheeky thief had just strolled into the girls dorm, picked up a bag and did one, she'd lost everything! Camera, clothes, credit cards the lot... fecking w^nkers!
I had booked myself on the tour of sarajevo so did that for the morning and afternoon, sunny the tour guide, gave a great tour and as he had lived through the siege gave a great insight into what it was like having to mission through the tunnell to the airport and the troubles of getting through snipers pass!
I also didn't realise how useless the UN were through the whole events, sending Vietnam cookies that were years out of date and even to the extreme of sending an helecopters worth of condoms as aid... bloody useful when everyone was struggling for food!
Was also interesting to find how multi cultural Sarajevo is, it has the nickname the 'european Jerusalam' and it's not suprising when you have a Church, mosque and synogogue on the same same street!
Got back to hostel and chilled ewaiting for bus to Belgrade, had a quick game of... 'Ring of Fire' Portugese style, which warmed me up nicely for the 8 hour journey to belgrade
Serbia here i come!
