Rocking in Belgium and chilling in Greece

It's just been reaffirmed to me how Europe is a continent of amazing contrasts within such a small area. Since last entry I've experienced huge changes in weather and culture within 2 weeks...

I headed off on a daytrip to Malmo, Sweden from Denmark, across the bridge I put on the photos. Great place, I met the two guys in the park while I was eating lunch. They were so friendly and took me to lunch, then we drifted through the afternoon in the fishing hut (which happily looked just how you'd expect!) of a friend who chills out there when not reeling in big cod one by one. There were about six friendly Swedes there, and they mentioned "How did you find this place in a day when most locals have never been here?", random and great stuff. Have to return to Sweden ASAP for sure.

Went to Arhus next for a couple of days, a really cute little Danish town, great for chilling out and shopping and from here headed through Germany to Belgium and a big rock festival Pukkelpop. Over 100,000 people camping for 4 nights, huge world famous rock bands, a recipe for fun! Massive stages, the bands were absolutely loving rocking so many people whicvh reflected in their performances often, really great vibe. I am still wearing my festival wristband because I think I don't want to let the experience go! Although hitting Brussels for the first shower in 4 days was good too, especially after getting pretty wet on the final night...

Finally jumped on a plance to Greece a few days ago, weather shifted from 17 degrees and rain to 33 and sunny. We met up with an old friend from the States here, and Athens and the Acropolis didn't disappoint at all (although stay tuned for a disappointed photo!). Ferry to the Greek island of Mykonos yesterday and so far the islands look as idyllic as you'd expect.

Things are good and hope that's the case for everyone too with spring about to arrive in Australia, good times ahead I'm sure!

Mick
