The hills are alive. . .

After a fairly durable 10 hour overnight train (where our compartment constantly changed with new people from Asia, Germany, Austria & Italy) we arrived in Wien, or Vienna, to a beautifully sunny day.

We met up with our good friends Mollie & Thomas, who have just moved here to teach at a school. It's been really fun to see them, and they took us out for a night on the town to see the sights around the city - Vienna has some of the prettiest gardens and breathtaking palaces & cathedrals yet! We ate dinner at an outdoor festival that serves food from around the world with background classical music & video on the side. And, of course, we had to try the Austrian gelato - I (Allison) like it more than the Italian but Doug still isn't sure.

Tomorrow we'll hang out with them some more, then it's off to Germany (our last stop!) on Sunday.
