Yes, that's right, mom made it. And just in time for her arrival, the weather got really nice. I mean, we have a breeze during the day and the temperature actually drops some at night. So hooray for that!
Just to plunge mom into the culture we spent the whole day walking around the city..it was the last day of the festival so I had to show her everything lively and full of people before things got dead today (and I mean, dead. Sundays are normally pretty slow, but I think today everyone is just probably sleeping all day to recuperate from the festival. I mean, there is NO ONE). She ate a tomato tarte first thing off the train to get some good French food fuel, we did the typical French sit in a cafe and have a cold drink thing, and we went to a great restaurant last night where we had delicious meals and mom tried her first provencal rosé wine. Good stuff.
We are training it to Cannes tomorrow to visit around and then meet up with our old exchange student friend Ludovic and his family for a couple of days.
Start praying for our car-rental experience...it could be interesting driving around in a foreign country.
That's all for now!
A bientot,
Fran and KAREN!
