Normandy

We got to spend one day visiting the beaches and several fields & villages where the fighting took place on D-day, June 6, 1944 during World War II. This has been one of my(Allison's) favourite places we've been in Europe because I was able to see and understand more about where my Grandfather landed on this day, 62 years ago. It helped made what I've learned in history books and heard from my Grandpa become much more real and alive. I'm very proud of him and am thankful for the risk he and thousands of others took to give us our freedom today!
