It is our last day in Marrakech!
Yesterday after saying our goodbyes to Abdo and Abdula, we caught the 12 noon bus from Essaouira to Marrakech. A lovely 3hr air conditioned ride.
We made our way back to the hotel that we had stayed in previously and spent the afternoon just chilling out in our room, watching TV and reading! Generally keeping out of the 48 degree heat!!!
That evening we went for a meal in the Djemma Al Fna square.
Sitting down at one of the outdoor stalls we ate a meal of chicken couscous, shishkeebabs, bread and dips.
After dinner we walked around the many other stalls checking out their menus. I can't say that either of us were too keen on the seared sheeps head or sheeps brains!!
After a nightcap of freshly squeezed orange juice, we retreated to our hotel.
Today we packed up, and spent the morning in the souqs. Just meandering around checking out bargains. We ate our last meal overlooking the square, before heading to the airport for our flight back to London.
What a country! What an unforgettable time!!
I only hope that one day we will be able to return to this amazing place!!
