This is where I spent my weekend http://www.dofo.org/ Please check it out for more info!

Friday: We left the church around 4, head down to Mexico! There were 5 cars all making our way to the border. We Stop for some dinner at the last US exit and headed on in to Mexico… taking the 1 along the coast, it was gorgeous! We arrived at the orphanage around 9. All of the children were asleep so we got settle into our dorms…. There were about 20 of us all together. Then of course the boys made a fire, it was huge after about 10 minutes! Thanks guys! Because we were meeting up with another church there, we were able to do names and such. Talk about what the planes were for the weekend. And the schedule like what time breakfast was……6:30am on a Saturday morning! Friday night ended with Worship around this raging fire! It was great

Saturday: We got a great loud wake up call at 6 am! I don’t even wake up that early during the week! So we got up took showers with some great cold water! Then headed to breakfast. After breakfast we were able to walk around and see what this place was like. It was huge it looked like a school that these children lived at. I helped set up crafts with Rachel, then we went and hung out with some of the children held some babies. Then we put the crafts out for the children… oh when I say children I mean 125 of them ranging from months old to around 18/19. So there is a lot of them running at you! So we did dress up with them took there pic and put it on a book mark for there bible. They made visors with there name on it, and they there own dorm sign! It was great fun. Some of the girls made necklaces, they were great! So there was plenty to do.

During this time this one girl found me and would not let go of me! It was crazy I could not put her down I could not talk to any of the other kids, she wanted my full attention. I was practicing the little Spanish I know it worked out great! So I think I am at a 5 year old Spanish level! Well needless to say she fell asleep on my lap (please it pic) we were tired.

It was off to lunch I had to wake her up put her down and off she went. I went back to the dorms and went to sleep my self. Then there was a soccer game US vs Mexico, I was still sleeping, by this time I was not feeling well…. By 2:30 I woke up from being horribly hot, took a cold shower, and sat on this trampoline looking up into the trees it was beautiful! Then everyone came back! We one….. but I guess we were playing 3rd graders… so yeah. Then it was free time, I was still on the trampoline joined by a few other people to play cards! So we played up the river down the river, don’t ask me what it is because I am still not sure. Then it was Dinner, after dinner we fed the children Ice cream Sunday’s which was a blast! Because they would try to get back into line to get more, and we would say no mass! And that sad face would come over them. So after the Ice Cream the kids went to bed, we went to find Taco’s……

Some would think it would be easy to find taco in Mexico, yes so did we, however that was not the case! But we did find the beach and a great Sunset! Check the pics out! Then we headed back to our dorms, and low and behold a taco stand right down the street from us. We had some great taco’s and some laughs! Headed back to the orphanage for some worship.

Sunday: it was great! We ate breakfast took tons of pics! And headed back home! We sat in line at the border for about 2 hours not too bad, and then got back together with the other cars after we all cleared, and head back to the Flipside!

While we were sitting in line we were able to hand out food to those people at the border trying to sell stuff. It was great to come in the opposite spirit and give stuff out for free, or just because. We even gave one woman an English/Spanish Dictionary with a note in side for her! She about fell over reading it, the smile on her face was amazing! God knew if was for her. It was great to go over there and just bless people. Thanks guys for reading all of this!
