HELLO!!!!!!!!

Sorry I havent written in so long! I hope you all havent given up on me! Okay well since mom left I had just been hanging out in Wimborne, shoppinga round and spending time with Jason...so I will egt to the more interesting part: My trip to Scotland.

So I grabbed a taxi after work at the sandich shop on Tuesday and headed to the airport where I caught my flight to Glasgow Prestwick. I took teh train to edinburgh and found my hostel. The next morning I woke up and met up with my Haggis Scotland tour of the area surrounding Edinburgh. There were four Canadian girls on the bus with me and one guy. Three were from Missisauga, one was from London and one was from Ottawa! It was neat and we all started talking and hung out for most fo the day. We started the tour by going to a small Scottish castle and walking around in the surrounding gardens. Then out bus stopped at a small tourist area where we could see a scottish Hairy Coo! It was so cute! Then we stopped in a small town by a river and had some lunch before heading out to a small church where the oldest living thing in Europe resides...a 5000 year old Yew tree and in teh church was one of the original five scottish bells! Next stop was the Famous Grouse whicky distillery!!! We did atour and then had a tasting session at the end and it was disgusting! BLAH! The tour was nice and when we got back to Edinburgh I hopped on a bus up to Inverness.

The next morning I woke up really early to catch my day tour to Orkney only to find it was cancelled due to bad weather up north! I was do disappointed since this was one of the amin reasons I went back to SCotland.....urgh. So anyway, I headed to the tourist information adn bought another tour that took you out into the scenic highlands. Our guides name was Duncan and he wore a kilt and was so funny and so scottich itw as hard to understand him! But we had a great day. The first stop was Calloden field where the big battle between the lowlands and the highlands happened in the 1700's. Then we stopped at an old graveyard before going to Fort Augustus at the end of Loch ness which was beautiful. Then we went to Elean Donan castle and did a tour of it. On teh way back we stopped a bunch of times on the top of moutains and hills to take pictures. And we took a hike down by a river. Our guide was crazy and ran up and down hills picking bluberries fpr us becuase he wanted us to have a real taste of Scotland lol!

Anyway, the tour wasw not Orkney but it still was nice. The next day I woke up all prepared to catch the 7:10 bus back to Glasgow only to realize that when I checked into my hostel I gave my passport as a key deposit and recpetion didntopen till 8:00!!! So I had to wait and as a result caught a later train, which got to Glasgow late, so I caught a late train to the airport whichw as just late enough to miss my flight back down to Bournemouth!!! Since there is only one a flight a day...I was out of luck and had to stay an extra night. I had to call work and tell them I wasnt making it in cause I missed my flight...not sure if they believed me or not but it was true! Anyway, I ended up staying in a hotel in Ayr for the night which turned out to be fun because Ayr is a nice city with a beautiful beach...anyway I am back home now...time to get ready for work!

Jenn
