Getting into Kenya was surprisingly easy. I had to purchase my visa at the airport so I was expecting some delays but it was all done within 2 minutes. Nairobi has a very bad reputation and is called Nairobbery but I had no problems at all. You can see the contrast of abject poverty and newer parts of the city. Everyone seems to have a war story but I did not find it that bad. However, I was probably a little more cautious than usual but it seemed to work. The downtown area or Nairobi is fairly uninteresting with life lived on the streets. Hawkers selling anything and everything.

Nairobi was just more or less a stop over and I was more anxious to get to Rwanda to see the gorillas.
