It seems greasy, but if you have one free and one half price ticet ... your probably eager to cross the border! It took 34 sea miles and 4 hours on ferry to get from Saaremaa, Estonia to Ventspils, Latvia. And we got back on our home island at late night. Ventspils was a very nice city. Almost everything for everyone: castle, flower decorations, sunny beach, old town, open air musieum, little railway, old fisherman's city area with low wooden houses and lot of more. Surely too much for single day. On Saturday shops wll be closed about 3 pm. Only Church, which we found open were St.Nicholas Ortodox next by the harbour. We were suprised about permisson to take pctures insde this Orthodox Church! If Lord gives, we plan go back there and see the rest of the city. We eat well and payed about 8 LAT's for lunch. No matter of little numbers, the Latvian money have good currency. Official language is Latvian, but lot of people can speak also Russian well. You can use English primary in hotels, resturants and visiting other turist objects. How does Ventspils look like? Well, you need to vist this city yourself to see more beyond of my pictures...
