Tried to edit some of the material so far and fill in the gaps. So how good a job I did i can`t tell. I was in Melbourne for thre days and it is a nice city not as big as Sydney and easier to get around. Then went to Lakes Entrance which is about 300 k`s north and the 90 mile beach This is also the base for one of Oz`s largest fishing fleets and a big oil shelf. They had discovered oil here like on the Beverely Hillbillys, it just uzzed out of the ground. They dug a 30 ft. Hole and started filling there buckets and it went from that. There is now about 10 oil rigs off the coast all connected to the main land and the oil gets piped directly ashore. The srf and the beach is fantastic and of course there is 90 miles of solid beach. My tan is starting but i think i got a little too much so want to stay out of the sun for a day or two. Was going to go to Canberra but changed my mind not knowing that they are having the worst fires there in 50 years and over 200 homes have burned. Took abus trip back to Sydney and now staying with people I met earlier and it has given me new life to go on to Nz. Will be there for two weeks and hope to do some fishing Heard my first Kukaburoo birds this morning and really neat I got a lot of stuff on video and hope it comes out all right. One downer was one of the backpackers got robbed at the hostel. Nothing physical but he had left his wallet out and someon took his cash and left , actually we think it was a guy from Tasmania who had registered that night but never came back.
