Third weekend, they just keep getting better!

This weekend was amazing. Sam's class took us to a pool in the mountains on Saturday and we had a cookout and chilled out all day. Then we went to a town called Suchitoto on Sunday that is preserved in its original colonial design. It was beautiful and pretty touristy. We went to a hotel for lunch that overlooked the lake, it was a very romantic setting that I thought would be perfect for getting proposed to. There weren't any offers though. : )

We went to a man's house that is set up to be a museum as well. He was a director of films in the 50's here in El Salvador and he now gives all of his money to the town of Suchitoto to keep it preserved and beautiful. It had a garden that was sprawling with an overlook of the lake, fountains and pathways winding back and forth. I could picture lavish parties there with all of the top society ladies sipping cocktails and chatting. It was a surprise to find that little paradise tucked away in the middle of the town.
