On German Engineering Nerds

Thursday not much happened, during the day I worked on travel plans and journals while Stini was in school. In the evening we walked to a dorm for the so called “ice party.” Drinks were cold and cheap but other than that I saw no reason to call it an ice party, I think the engineering students just wanted an excuse to hang up cut outs of penguins everywhere. The great thing about the party is that I got to meet German engineering students and observe them in their habitat, and well, they are just as nerdy and goofy and awkward as American engineering students.

Friday, like Thursday, want much exciting either. Christina, Maria, and I drove around to 3 different supermarkets buying cheap supplies for the party Saturday night. The girls bought a shopping cart full of liquor and the total barely passed 120 euros. I couldn’t imagine a price that good in the United States, even though I don’t know anything about such things. I got some fruits to make a special salsa dip for the party, as well as some various foodstuffs for me to eat over the next few weeks. That night, Stini’s older sister, Nina, arrived from Lubeck with her boyfriend Josh. They came down for the party tomorrow night (Saturday).
