Tuesday, May 2nd - This would have been our wedding day! Since we decided to marry on April 29th instead, we used this day to have professional photographs taken in its place. The photography session was phenomenal!
I had my hair and nails done at noon. Michael played volleyball in the pool while I had my appointments, and Rasheda met us at our room at 2:00pm. She had my bouquet with white, pink, and orange roses and Michael's boutineere with one orange rose. She pinned it on him, and we were off!
She took us to the gazebo to meet our photographer, Kit. He was a lot of fun! We did champagne toasts and cake exchanges, and then I asked Rasheda and Kit to sit down with us for a picture. We had fun! They ate some cake with us, too!
I loved being photographed and doing it with my husband in Jamaica on a beach could not get any better! We were SO hot by the time we finished up, so we changed into our swimming suits and walked around the resort to cool off.
We met with the activities coordinator at the resort and signed up for the many activities we planned to do throughout the week.
That evening, we had dinner reservations at Otephite Restaurant, which was IMPECCABLE! The food was delectable and the atmosphere was very romantic. Our server were very attentive and very friendly. We were especially impressed by their service since we were not allowed to tip them (it's all included in the price of the resort). Michael ordered steak, and I ordered salmon that was lighly glazed in a honey sauce to die for!
It was a lovely ending to a lovely day. We walked hand in hand around the resort, staring into the starry sky, listening to the waves of the ocean, and the secadas, which Michael affectionately termed "the whistlers."
