Well, Saturday was not the best day. Val and Ray took me to Lullworth to go to the castle but when we got there it was closed for a wedding so we couldnt go inside. Instead we went to Lullworth cove which was nice but there was not too much to do there. We just walked down to the cove and looked at the water, walked in the little shops and had some icecream. then we drove through the country and tried to find teh abandoned village that was in that area but we couldn't find it...no wonder it is abandoned. then we went to the shore and walked around for a bit before heading to Poole. We had some dinner and I went to work. Work was SO busy but I ended up getting good tips. On Sunday it was fathers day and I had to work for lunch. Itw as long and boring and we made no tips because itw as a buffet. After work I had some dinner at a pub and then took the b us to Bournemouth but the bus driver gave me the wrong ticket and I ended up not having the right ticket to get home so I would have to spend more money on the bus later when I went home. That was annoying. Anyway, when I got to Poole I walked to the movie theatre and I wanted to see Posidon but it didnt start for an hour and a half. I walked around Bournemouth but everything was closed so I wasted some time in an internet cafe. The movie was good and after the movie I made it to the stop in time to catch the last bus of the night to Wimborne but when it came I forgot to put myhand out and the bus passed by! The other people waiting there obviously forgot to and we all ran down the street after the bus but it was too late. SO I was stranded and had to call Val and Ray. Wimborne is not so close to Bournemouth so I had tow ait outside in teh cold for a half an hour till they got there in a t-shirt...worst night ever...but the movie was good.
Monday I had to work at the Sandwich shop. Val and Ray went to the Isle of Wight and found Mike a nice apartment for Aug 1st! Pending approval it looks like he has a nice new home. He is excited. I spent some time on the internet and ended up buying a plane ticket to Berlin for July 25 for a few days.
Anyway today was a lot of fun. I went on a day trip to Oxford. I had to get up at 5:45 to get the 6:45 bus into Bournemouth to catch the coach for 7:45. The bus ride was long. When we got there I went to the tourist info office and bought a ticket for teh city sightseeing tour. It was nice and showed me all of teh important parts of the city. Then I went on a cheesy but awesome ride where you sit in a desk and it takes you around for 25 minutes and talks about 900 years of history surrounding Oxford. After this tour I walked to Christchurch college which is a part of Oxford University...this is the one ALbert Einstein went too. You should see this place...when I can put up pics I will, but it makes Ryerson look like a daycare...urgh. I wish I went to Oxford! It was gorgeous! And old! I walked around the campus and went into teh cathedral and past the library and into the dining hall (which they used in the filming of Harry Potter). After this I just walked around, past more of the colleges and down the old streets. I found an enclosed market and bought some food. Before heading back to the coach to head home I walked past the old Oxford castle. Then we headed home. It was a beautiful day and I really enjoyed Oxford. For the next few days I am staying home as money i getting pretty tight.
Mom comes on Friday. I am catching teh 6:25 bus from Ringwood to Gatwick to meet her for 10 AM. Then we are in London till Monday before heading to France till Wednesday to see the DDAY beaches. We will be here in Wimborne by Wednesday...
YAY! Cant wait!
