only a bus ride away and i was at THE Vatican...ya, only the most HOLY place in the world... for Catholics anyway. I saw the Tomb of the most recent Pope, John Paul II. The Basilica was ASTOUNDING...i mean REALLY...it was intense...words really cant describe the place...it is pretty overwhelming. BUT I had the priveledge to be able to go into the closed off chapel and pray with nuns from all over the world. Definitely a highlight of this whole trip.
After the Vatican we strolled on over to the Sistine Chapel...ya, you know...only the place which holds Michaelangelo´s most famous work. We took illegal pics and videos, along with every other tourist. The Creation of Adam and THE LAST JUDGEMENT are two of my favorites ever and i was estatic to see them in the flesh.
