I walked to the Colosseum today

2006-06-16, Rome, Italy

ya...just walked there...nothing but a 15 minute walk as you pass the Roman Forum... The Colosseum was everything i expected it to be...massive...ruined...old and it still had blood on the stones

The place was incredible...learning all the history behind, now that was fascinating to actually be there thousands of years later and know what really happened there. We walked through the Roman Ruins afterward and saw what used to be Caesar´s chapel. Then off the The Pantheon, massive, then Piazza Novana where incredible artists displayed their work and painted before our very eyes these beautiful masterpieces. Then to the Trevi fountain...most amazing fountain i have ever seen, despite the thousands of tourists in front of it taking pics. We had INCREDIBLE, AND I MEAN INCREDIBLE pizza all throughout the day...its cheap cheap...and pasta from a small cafe.
