What a random day! First, all day long Cecilia & I took a group of people from San Diego State University to different parts of the Loreto Bay project, which was exciting because it got me out of the office. Jorge and I ended up taking this girl who was really sick from eating tacos at McLulu's and then drinking too much (she was sooo sick, she was green)back into town and then eating incredible tacos at El Rey de Tacos or whatever it's called (they are the best tacos in town!) and running back to work. Leia and I ate some tacos during her lunch break, and then when I returned to work I only had enough time to check my email before Leia picked me back up and we headed to the plant store to pick up a little pot of flowers. Then it was off to Carlos's house to bury his dog that was hit by a car (so sad, and there's rumor that the man sped up and did it on purpose! what is wrong with the world.). After we buried the dog and planted the flowers we decided to clean up Carlos's yard for him, which was a mess and took forever...there must have been a million mangos...but we were happy to help a friend out! After showers we all met up at Panchamama's for some great Italian food and then headed off to Michoacana for ice-cream! On the way back to our houses Leia, Keith and I were on bikes and were chased down by dogs...quite a scary experience...This morning Leia and I went to the Saturday morning market to pick up some food for dinner tonight. It was a small market with the same feel as other Mexican markets but with the bare minimum, I liked it.
