Well, Shaftsbury didnt end up being too fun. We only stayed for about an hour because the buses there are so infrequant that if we didnt catch one back there wouldnt have been another bus for four hours! And the bus ride back was an hour and a half. But we did find out that there is a huge festival there when my Mom comes over so I think we will end up going to that. Anyway, after Shaftsbury we came home and just hung around Wimborne. I was called into work at the sandwich shop on Thursday morning so I worked for five hours there before walking around Wimborne with Val for awhile. Thursday night I went out with a guy my age I met in the pub on Saturday night. He was so nice! We met at the Coach and Horses pub for a drink and then we went down to Poole Quay and stopped in at another pub before walking down the harbour and watching the fireworks. It was alot of fun. We talked mostly about Canada since he had spent six months in Banff working with the same program that I came here with. He said he would call this weekend if him and his friends were going out so that is something to look forward too. It is nice to have people my own age to talk to and hang out with! Friday I didnt have to work until teh evening so Vala nd I went into town and shopped around before I headed down to Poole tonight to work. Work was fun and a new lady started there so Idont feel so alone in my 'newness'. She is older and really nice. She ended up driving me home at the end of the night because she didnt want me to wait at the bus stop. Anyway, turns out Mike is coming on August 8th so I have extended my trip until the 21st so I can help him find a place and move in before he starts his work as a drama teacher! We have booked a trip for right after he gets here. We are going to Ireland for a few days and doing a tour. I am ffeling a little antsy that I have not gone anywhere in a little while but I am trying to save money for when mom comes next week...and then we are doing lots and lots of travelling. Not long after she leaves I am off to Scotland for a few days. I have been looking into a trip to Berlin as well...but it looks like it may be too expensive. I never got there last year when I was in Germany and now that I took History of the Third Reich as one of my electives this year I am really anxious to go there and see everything that I learned about, but we will have to see if money can permit me to go! Stupid money.
