I love how life around here revolves around fish...the most amazing fish I've ever had in my life, might I add...
Life here in Loreto is good, I'm kind of settling into routine, the problem is that I am so exhausted from working 2 weeks straight (working last weekend just about killed me) I feel as though I am too drained to do much of anything. and yesterday I was in such a horrible mood because of it, then I finally got back to town from work and I went to the hardware store to get a chain and lock for the bike I’m borrowing and the guy charged me 15 dollars, FIFTEEN dollars. grrrr, well, what goes around comes around, I will never use his store again, and when we live here my family will never use his store...aye karma...at least I had the best horchata of my life yesterday from the ice cream store "michoacana" it was amazing. I finally made it home to find out that one of the couples staying at the cococabanas was hosting another bbq, this time with fresh yellowtail and a ton of their friends from town. It was awesome, there were only two true local Mexicans but everyone else had been coming here for years and years and everyone was really friendly. There was woman who spoke no English at all and we spoke a pretty fluid 45 minute conversation in Spanish, I am quite proud of myself. After dinner I picked up my laundry (an "hour and a half" process takes about 4 hours here, we're on Mexican time) and headed out on my bike (woohoo, Lindy reunited with a bike!) over to Leia's to drop off the extra fish. I need a day off to ride my bike, enjoy the town, finally get into the water, and get some REST...unfortunately that day is not today, so here I am again, stuck in this office for another 8 hours...
