The morning started off again with a strong hard rain… I tried again unsuccessfully to get my sweet little internet hot spot but I guess it is more elusive than I thought. Did I dream it? Around 11:30 I decided to go out and brave the rain as I have only a few days left. Shortly after I climbed the big hill on monkey forest road it started to really pour down rain. Drenched I ducked into a shop and watched the sky empty after I had picked up everything in the store at least four times it started to let up slightly so I continued on shortly thereafter being joined by a handsome tall man with a strong Australian accent. The tall stranger started talking to me as if he knew me, we walked for a while talking before I finally realized where I had met him… at the Champlung Sari Hotel Pool. We talked only briefly but I guess I am hopelessly oblivious when it comes to men as Andy is hard to miss and pretty distinctive at a towering 6’ 5”. We ended up walking together in the hard rain talking as if it was the best of sunny days. We had fun responding to the locals who offered us umbrellas, raincoats, rides, etc. Saying how it was a lovely day and how we were enjoying our natural shower. We ended up walking further and going to lunch together. After lunch we took the long way home and Andy showed me his room… I just looked…. Then I took him over to my room where we had cocktails on my deck overlooking the rice paddies. The rain was still pouring down and you could hear the stream picking up some serious speed and volume so Andy asked if I wanted to go explore all of the paths in the monkey forest and check out the streams. Since we were already soaked to the core I thought why not. We hiked through the mud, up and down the steps and on all of the trails returning for another drink and to dry off a little. Next we headed out for ice cream which was a long walk again we took the long way home. Andy is an interesting man, from Melbourne, Australia, teaches Karate and does Japanese sword fighting for fun and IT by day. Obviously he is pretty adventurous or he wouldn’t have been out exploring in the pouring rain. I kissed him goodbye at the edge of my hotel both of us planning to spontaneously meet again. It was a wonderful afternoon and very active for what could have been a boring and wet hotel room day. I walked some more this time in search of Putu for a massage. I’ve got to get a few more in before I leave the island. The light was on but no Putu…. Maybe I’ll get two massages tomorrow.

I have to set my alarm to get up early and go to meditate with Putu and Desak and the famous Yogi from India, this is a major event and people have been posting signs and passing out flyers for days.

Andy popped back over later on and we had a nice evening enjoying the symphony of sounds of the night from my balcony… mostly frogs this time because of the heavy rains and the stream rambling with its fresh water. It is nice to have the attention and an adventurous partner to have some fun with and the romance isn’t bad either.
