What a great couple of days! Yesterday there was a going away party at La Pinta hotel for this girl Cincy who is getting deported from Mexico for neutering a stray dog (the Mexicans were not happy to hear that getting a dog fixed involves cutting off their balls...) regardless, it was a great party with all the locals and tons of great food and of course margaritas! After the party I headed out to my friend Leia's house for a big, yummy bowl of pinto beans and a movie (and some birthday cake leftover from the party the night before) it was great! Today work was actually pretty cool also, after 10 hours of sleep (I'm exhausted) I headed out to the office, where I was happy to find that they wanted me to work on a project to "reach my full potential" so I will finally be doing something interesting! woohoo! I am working now to create a way to help the people who are buying homes in Loreto bay better understand the culture of Loreto and the Mexican people which will hopefully help bridge the gap of misunderstanding...well, ok, begin to bridge it! I have some great ideas, so we'll see where this takes me! This evening I came home to the Cococabanas to eat the most amazing mahi mahi I have ever had in my life. INCREDIBLE! This really nice couple from Idaho caught a huge fish (and a few small ones too) and everyone decided to cook up a bbq which included veggies, beer, and a variety of other great food. It was wonderful! They are all really nice people too, a bit conservative (I decided that it wasn't worth arguing their pro-Bush statements or their pro-Iraq statements, sometimes you must pick your battles...) and the reward for my patience (yes, Lindy, keep your mouth shut) guess who got a TON of leftover fish- ME! They're all worried about my lack of funds, so they have decided to take care of me...Yes, Mom, see now you don't have to worry! Regardless, today has been wonderful, and hopefully one of these days I'll get enough time to relax...
