Among the Ukranians

Well, I arrived in Lviv on Saturday. It has been less than what I had hoped for but near what I expected so I don't really have many comlaints. There have been a few English speakers for me to talk to (only one of them was a native). It will take some time for Ukraine to become touristic. There are still a lot of Soviet characteristics still present. I am glad I have a chance to visit here after they have opened the borders (less than a year ago, one needed a visa to travel here). Tonight I take a train to Kiev. Here in Lviv, there are a lot of cathedrals and some old fortress walls but nothing is that spectacular. I look forward to a few sites in Kiev. I will try to update asap as usual.
