Hi Everyone! I got here safe and sound last night around 8:30pm. I spent a little more than 6 hours in the airport in Cancun, and I was starting to feel like Tom Hanks in that movie where he wasn't allowed to leave the airport and he had to live there.... anyway....
I am not actually staying at the school, I'm in a rental house about a block away. The house is nice, my room is comfortable (although, the sheets leave a little bit to be desired) and it's very close to where I will be spending my days. I slept really well, which I suppose is a good omen for the trip. This morning on my way to the classroom I took a little walk to the beach. It was amazing. The water was crystal clear and the first thing I saw when I looked in was this beautiful stripped tropical fish. I had breakfast with Eric, one of the owners of the school, Irma who works here and two other students. Right now there are 8 students here, 3 from Hong Kong who don't speak much english or spanish. Should be interesting! I can't write much more because we're about to leave on a bus tour of Veracruz. I'll write more later! Hugs, Tracey
