So hampi. This place is so mystical. (I hope the cheesy police don’t catch that one). But honestly, is has such good atmosphere. It’s a tiny little town surrounded by unnaturally massive boulders piled carefully on each other. And thick banana plantations. And really old temple ruins.. were talking 1500s ish.
Oh, I almost forgot, the order of appearance of the variety of anamalia running around in the streets and such (which conveniently corresponds to frequency) is listed below.
dogs cows pigs lizards cockroaches goats frogs monkeys very large worms with a millions legs bats snakes. well, singular. i only saw one. it slithered under my foot. elephant
so basically no bunnies or lambs.
we've spent our days checking out the sites, eating a freakish amount of thali's and chocolote pancakes, and hammocking. today a good group of us got up at an unreasonable time to watch the sunrise.
so no plans to leave. unfortunately my grandpa had to swing by the hospital (and is apparently flirting with all the nurses. 90 and still has his game) so it looks like i'll be in limbo in this town (which isn't a bad thing at all) untill i'm given the thumbs up from home.
thanks for coming out.
nat. i havn't washed my hair since entering this country. challenge from dad. it's getting very hard.
xoxo
