Mmm...Spain..
We love it here. We have been briefed on what to expect in Morocco and I believe all of our spirits have been raised. Let me tell you now though that we will not be checking our email while we are there for certain safety issues. We will not be in danger at all, but since Morocco is a Muslim nation we are not allowed to me "missionaries". Therefore, we cannot take the risk of emails saying: YWAM, missions, DTS, evangelism, etc...They have told us that we will be closely watched by the "secret police" but not to make sure we don't do anything wrong but to make sure that if we do slip up, we don't get hassled by ordinary people. They really want tourists to have a good experience and go home with a good taste of their country. It is very safe so you need not worry. If there is an emergency, we will be able to use email or the phone but if you don't hear from us, assume everything is just fine.
We found out that we will be trekking through the mountains, not the desert, for 5 days. We watched a Lonely Planet video on Morocco today and they have these bath houses where it's like a sauna and you can pay someone to give you a "massage" and if you didn't know it was a massage before hand, you'd think the guy was trying to kill you. Both of you will be in small bathing suits, wet, sweaty, and he will pretty much give you the torcher rack, on the bare floor. It goes on for about 15-20 minutes with this guy stretching you to your limits, painfully of course, but apparently it's a great experience, so that means Í'll definitely be doing it. So yeah...that´s it for now...we have a free day to look around this beautiful place and check out the Picaso museum if we wish. Make sure that if you want to email anyone on the team, you have to do it ASAP as we will be leaving sometime on Friday and then that's it for 2 weeks, and that means get your emails in by Thursday night at the latest.
Cheers
