Michael and I had an intimate ceremony on April 29, 2006, which was the day before we left for our honeymoon. We modestly decorated our covered back porch with brightly colored gerbera daisies and white lights in two small decorative trees. We had four chairs set up for our guests: Jerry & Marty Payton, and Linda Ghaffari & Robert Green. Pastor Jim Davis from Belmont Church performed the personalized ceremony for us.
As music by Chris Botti played in the background, my father escorted me through our house and onto the back porch where Michael anticipated my entrance. He saw me for the first time at that moment, and we were both grinning from ear to ear! We exchanged our vows and many tears of joy before our parents at 4:30 p.m. It was a very sweet, sincere moment for all of us. Linda could not stop crying! It started to sprinkle for a few minutes, but the rain held off throughout the ceremony. They say it's good luck when it rains on your wedding day! We took several photos and then proceeded to our dinner reservations at Watermark Restaurant.
