Aloha from Loja

If you didn´t understand the title..Aloha rhymes with Loja (pronunced LO-ha). I´m in a little hidden gem of a city in the Southern part of Ecuador. I really think that this has been one of the nicest cities that I have visited in Ecuador. It`s really little and cute. There aren't that many tourists, so that's always nice. The city is really nice because for some reason it has a lot of community involvement, which isn't popular in other Ecuadorian cities. It's extremely clean. There aren't people begging on the street. Everyone is more relaxed and chill. It also is cheaper than other places that have been to. I think that it's a great place to chill out from the hectic times in Cuenca.

Yesterday we went to a national park that specializes in ecosystems in the upper portions of the mountains. We hiked for about 7hrs. It was grueling. I´m feeling it in more than one way now. I'm really burnt on my face and neck because we were so high up that the sun's intensity is really strong. We met some cool people from Swizterland and Isreal.

So tomorrow, we're off to the hippie town of Vilcabamba.
