My first day in Barcelona was a busy one up around 10 I got a tuna sandwich and walked a block to Casa Amatellier, took some photos and went next door to Casa Battlo for a tour of my first ever Antonio Gaudi building. The building was well worth my 16 euro entry fee, every little detail was lovingly done. Amazing place! After 2 hours of crawling through Gaudi’s head, I took a subway to the Sagrada Famiglia. The climb through the church’s towers was great, but my favorite part other than the columns and nave interior was that I got to watch the church as it was being built! After several hours exploring the famous church by Gaudi, I took the metro back to Passieg de Gracia and went to Gaudi’s Casa Mila or as its more commonly known, La Pedrera (the quarry). She too is gorgeous, and I saved the famous ornate rooftops for last; about an hour before the building closed I went up to the roof and started taking videos, experimenting with colors, tones, lighting and forms. I just had a blast taking pictures. Back in my dorm that evening, I made friends with those who were in my room and looked through the 300 photos I had taken that one day alone!
