What's Up...

These past few days have been very stressful! We had our first day of class already, which turned out to just be an overview of all the classes. I'm taking 2 classes worth 7 credits, and I have a TON of work to do. I'm a little bit perturbed...who knew we'd be doing SO much work on study abroad?!

Don't freak out, but I had my VERY FIRST bar experience last night. Everyone in my program wanted to go out, and I was reluctant, but I finally went. I was really nervous because I've heard some pretty intense horror stories, but it was actually pretty fun. I didn't drink at all, but everyone else did. It was a little bit awkward once everyone started getting more and more tipsy, but it was surprisingly easier to talk to people and have conversations. All in all, I'd say it was a pretty good time. I'd go again.

I went running for the second time today, and the road I ran along was RIGHT next to the Mediterranean Sea. It was so gorgeous that I almost tripped a few times just because I was looking at the water! It was scary, though, because there are no guard rails. The road ends at the white line, then there is about two feet of "extra road," and then it just drops off to cliffs and the Mediterranean. I was a little bit afraid of falling in, but I'm still here. No worries.

Tomorrow, everyone in my group wants to go to this thing called a thermal bath. It is somewhat like a giant hot tub, plus exfoliators and whatnot. The catch is...you're supposed to do it NAKED!!! I think I might wear my swimsuit though. Talk about a cultural experience...I'll let you know how it goes!
