Well, sorry we haven't written in a while but we haven't had the interent. But to give you a short update on the last week we had in Mozambique we had an anonymous person donate our team about $US 300!! We just want to thank you for such a blessing!! May God bless you abundantly!!
Last week we were in Nairobi at a backpackers hostel and we helped them lay the foundation to their new cabins. We had fun just hanging out and talking to people, but we were only there for 2 days. But it was cool anyway!
We had a 9 hour bus ride that turned into a 12 hour night bus ride from Nairobi to Mbita due to a spike in our bus tire. We had the bumpest ride EVER!! The roads are HORRIBLE!! But we made it safely none the less. But for the most important part...before we left to come on outreach we have been praying that it would rain in Kenya because they have had this horrible drought for the last year. Well it rained when we left New Zealand, it rained in Australia, South Afria and Mozambique and it followed us all the way to Kenya!! They said the rains had come about a month ago and that's when we left to go on outreach!! Man GOD is so AMAZING!! It has poured down the last couple of nights, and we have been praising God for every drop. We're staying at the most BEAUTIFUL YWAM base! It is right on Lake Victoria so we are blessed with amazing sunsets every night. And not to mention we are getting fed very well, Jeremiah our cook has been making the most amazing meals. So don't worry we're getting fed.
We've been helping out around the base by painting their new lecture hall, and moving huge stones, and just helping out wherever they need it. Yesterday we walked to a small village and half of our team and a few of the base staff had a seminar on malaria and the other half went prayer walking around the village. We saw many people accept Christ into their heart. One especially, his name was Frank, he was the last house that we visited and he asked us to pray for him because he has a disease and he hasn't gone to church because of it. We prayed for him to accept GOd into his heart and we prayed for his disease. Now he is going to visit the YWAM base and could possibly be joining the next DTS in September. Praise God, eh!!
We'll be leaving for Kisimu in a couple of days, we'll be staying in the slums there. In a 2 room house with a Kenyan missionary. And then off to Uganda we go. DUDE, outreach is flying by but we're taking in every moment that God has blessed us with.
Prayer Requests: We totally need prayer for endurance and perserverance for these next couple of weeks. And for continual provision and safety. Praise God for all the provision he has been providing for us. Paul wants prayer for the bible school after DTS. And that's about it. Until next time...
