Hi
After putting up with the crazy pace of Bangkok for a week, some of the backpackers at the guesthouse decided we needed some beach time so we decided to jump on a bus and go to a minor beach resort in a town called Hua Hin (One of the places I went to last year).
Three hours after boarding the bus we arrived in the blazing heat and after finding a place to stay, headed of to explore the town, nothing much to report on the Saturday night apart from a long drinking sesh.
On the Sunday we walked to a nice spot on the beach and just sunbathed near a beach bar (so we didn’t have to move) calling the 'boy'(waiter) to bring us drinks when needed. I sat under the baking 36 degree sun and topped up my tan (trying to look a little more Indian).
Six hours later a sudden thunder store that lasted for a hour spoilt all that and we sheltered by the bat, listening to a Pilipino band do reggae and rock covers... they were excellent.
After dinner we went to a Thai nightclub, we where the only tourists there and danced away until the early hours (yes... I danced... stop laughing). The Thaïs (who were all younger than me) were really friendly, and the band that played a live set had a cute lead singer.
Anyway back in Bangkok now, tonight I will catch a night train to Chang Mai which is like the 2nd city and was the old capital. It’s a 12 hours train journey, I’m not looking forward to it.
