The countdown to Greece has begun! Im leaving Wittenberg in 12 Days to go to Athens and Im pumped. We've got 'finals' this week. Weve covered a lot of topics in our history and culture classes this year, and all we have to do is choose a topic that we discussed and write a short essay about it and answer 3 or 4 questions. We took our culture one today and it went pretty well. Our history test is tomorrow, and after that we are essentially done. There is a grammar test on Monday that Im going to study hardcore for, but other than that weve just evaluations and short trips. Our class, well actually just the girls, invited professor Lindseth to a dinner party at her house, but since there isnt enough room, she decided that tomorrow we are going to take our bikes to some nice restaurant and she is paying for all 13 of us. So that should be fun. On Thursday we are taking another class trip to a big park about 20 km away from here with our bikes. Im not sure what we are doing there, probably just relaxing. Today I took my Oral Profeciency test to see where I am speaking level wise. Lindseth was very very impressed with how much I have improved over just 3 months. I started at Intermediate low/mid, and that may not mean much to you, but i guess thats decent. Most people get stuck at that level for a very long time, as in years, but I jumped up to quite possibly advanced low. Thats a big deal for me! I have met and surpassed the required speaking level to get into the school of ed, and she said that she was very impressed and proud of me. I was soo happy, thats great news. She said I definetly did something right this semester! I guess all that going out nearly every night speaking German with Stefan and Reni helped lots. Ah its a great day, Im so excited. I did definetly not expect to be this high! We have to act out some scenarios and do some comparisons and she even had to take me up to the superior level for the comparisons! I think an ice cream cone is definetly in order for celebration. Bis Spaeter!
